Wedding fabric

African print wedding fabric with your names on it

Across East Africa, kangas are part of weddings: given to the bride, worn by family, printed as matching outfits for the whole party. Design yours with your names, your date and a saying only you two would choose.

Free to design and share. Pre-filled with “Amina & Juma · 12.12.2026”; change it to anything.

Ideas for wedding sayings

  • Your names and date: Amina & Juma · 12.12.2026
  • A love proverb: Mapenzi ni kikohozi, hayafichiki (“Love is a cough; it cannot be hidden”)
  • A blessing: Mungu awabariki (“May God bless you”)
  • Something playful for the bridal party: Team Bibi Harusi

Matching sare for the whole party

Sare are matching outfits worn by family and friends. The Event Pack gives you the main fabric file plus 12 matching variations at A4 300 dpi, for invitations, programmes, table cards and signage, so everything looks like one family of designs. The Event licence covers printing outfits for the hosts and guests of your event.

Planning the print

Order a test print first, because colours shift between screens and fabrics. Allow time for printing and tailoring; group orders can take weeks. Our printing guide covers sizes, fabrics and what to ask your printer.

Questions

Can every bridesmaid have a different design?

Yes. Remix gives you variations of the same message in the same family of colours, and the Event Pack includes 12 of them.

Is the wedding fabric file big enough for a dress?

The fabric file is one kanga, 150 × 100 cm. Printers can repeat it across longer lengths for tailoring.
