Swahili proverb fabric
Swahili proverb fabric, designed by you
On the Swahili coast, a kanga’s saying is the point of the cloth. Many of the best are methali, short proverbs that say a lot in a few words. Pick one, make it yours, and print it.
Free to design and share. Pre-filled with “Haba na haba hujaza kibaba”; change it to anything.

Why proverbs work so well on cloth
Kanga sayings are often indirect: a cloth can comfort, advise or tease without anyone saying a word. Proverbs carry that same quality. They are recognisable, they are shared heritage, and they are short enough to read across a room.
